Miriana agoras

Based in Zurich, Miriana is a choreographer and teacher whose practice is rooted in movement. Working at the intersection of contemporary choreography and hip-hop, she approaches the body as a space of expression, rhythm and constant exploration. Her work is about creating movement as much as understanding where it comes from: its impulses, tensions, lines and moments of release.

For our first photoshoot with her, Anatomy of Movement, we explored the body through this perspective: breaking movement down into its smallest gestures and observing how the body shifts between control and freedom. With Miriana, the choreography became a visual language: a study of balance, tension and flow, where every position reveals something about the mechanics and emotion of movement.

The images capture the body not simply in motion, but between movements, where technique, instinct and expression meet.

As part of our Emerging Talent Program, she brings a distinctive voice to the world of movement: expressive, precise, and constantly evolving, at the intersection of dance, movement, and contemporary culture.
